New IFTA account registration consists of several steps: 1. Open REG-1 Account with IL DoR (some legal entities may already be registered, as this account may be also used for different state taxes) 2. Register Mytaxillinois account 3. Apply for IFTA application

Information you’ll need to complete REG-1 Before you start, gather: FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) SSN for owner Legal business name and DBA (if any) Business address and mailing address Phone number and email address Type of ownership (LLC, corporation, sole proprietorship, etc.) Names and titles of all owners or members NAICS business activity code (for trucking: 484110 – General Freight Trucking, Local or 484121 – General Freight Trucking, Long-Distance, Truckload) Payment details for IFTA decals order - only bank account option, no option for card payment Proof of address: IL DL/ID + 2 other documets
